JAPAN: Kyocera subsidiary Kyocera Communication Systems Co., Ltd. (KCCS) has started joint research with the University of Tsukuba to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) system capable of detecting melanoma and other skin diseases by analyzing digital images of a patient’s skin.
